This ‘fairy garden kit’ contains:
- a solid brass tiny Buddha or Goddess statue (choose the one you want from the drop down menu)
- three clear rock crystal wands
- a solid, light beech wooden
- or dark acacia wooden container (choose from drop down menu; the acacia wood is displayed in the last photo)
- sparkly white sand
- a small wooden rake
When you combine these elements, you or your loved one can create an ethereal piece of altar decor for some instant zen vibes - and bonus apartment therapy. Clear crystal is associated with healing on all levels and amplifies thoughts and wishes. The two standing female figures and the multi armed seated Buddha’s are emanations of Avalokiteshvara or Kuan Yin, the Boddhisattva of compassion and unconditional love. The smaller seated Buddha figures have different hand gestures (or Mudra’s in Sanskrit). The one with his hands in his lap represents meditation or concentration; the one with his right fist clenching his left thumb makes the enlightenment gesture.
It makes for a perfect (spiritual) gift box for a yogi friend or loved one. Everything comes neatly packed in a square box with label, and the text below is added explaining the principles of a zen garden and a ‘Quick start guide’.

Principles of a Zen Garden In Zen gardening, one mimics a natural landscape of oceans, waves, and landmasses represented by the rocks that are like islands in a vast, timeless ocean. According to the tradition, there is beauty in asymmetry. Rocks are grouped in odd numbers, often of three. These so called triads represent earth, man and the divine. The largest rocks are placed first to form the backbone of the formation. The smaller rocks must be placed such that they are in ‘good agreement’ with the main rock of the cluster.
