Quan Yin Statue
This dark wooden statue depicts the female bodhisattva of Compassion, named Kuan Yin in China (sometimes written as Quan Yin or GuanYin in English) and Bosatsu or Kannon in Japan. She is crafted out of a lower grade of precious agarwood, which has different shades of deep dark brown.
Quan Yin means ‘she who hears the cries of the world’. It is said that as a Bodhisattva, she vowed not to enter Nirvana before she had brought all beings out of the realm of cyclic existence (Samsara). The detailing is exquisite. She will bring a compassionate energy to your shrine or altar.
I have two sizes available right now:
(L) Height: 8.5 inch (20.5 cm)
(S) Height: 5.5 (14 cm)
